Online Strategic Cooperation Meeting Held Between TÜGET Institute and Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
A high-level online meeting was held between Türkiye and China to foster scientific, academic, and institutional cooperation in traditional and complementary medicine.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Elif GÜLER KAZANCI, Head of TÜGET Institute, alongside Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz GÜVEN, Researcher Dr. Muhammet Mustafa ÇİFTÇİ, Researcher Dr. Tacettin KAKİLLİOĞLU, Pharmacist Bedriye TAŞKIN, Engineer Nazlı ERTÜRK and Emre BİÇİCİ. Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was represented by senior academic and administrative representatives from its international cooperation, educational, and academic units.
During the talks, conducted at both diplomatic and institutional levels, key topics discussed included:
• Developing joint scientific research projects in traditional and complementary medicine,
• Establishing postgraduate student and faculty exchange programs,
• Planning advanced training initiatives for healthcare professionals,
• Strengthening the exchange of knowledge, experience, and research infrastructure between both nations.
Furthermore, both sides discussed creating sustainable collaboration models through international research grants and funding programs
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their mutual commitment to elevating existing health sciences cooperation between Türkiye and China, strengthening joint scientific capacity in traditional and complementary medicine, and supporting friendly bilateral relations through the avenue of health diplomacy.
